Frequently Asked Questions
How much does dog training cost in Oceanside?
Pricing depends on the program type, duration, and level of training your dog needs. Available options include private lessons, puppy training, and multi-week Board & Train programs.
Visit our Plans & Pricing page for current program information, or call (760) 477-4875 to request a free consultation.
How long does it take to see results?
Current Board & Train programs run from two to four weeks, depending on the selected track. Private-training timelines depend on the package, the dog’s starting behavior, the owner’s goals, and consistent practice between appointments.
Progress and long-term reliability vary. Owners should expect to continue reinforcing the training after the formal program ends.
Do you guarantee your dog training?
The current obedience, reactive, and rehabilitation Board & Train packages advertise reliable performance of the commands included in the selected program and free lifetime refresher training.
The 4-Week “Rap Sheet” Rehabilitation Program does not guarantee a complete fix for every behavior.
Private lessons offer a 100% refund after the initial lesson if you are not happy with the experience. Private lessons do not guarantee specific results because owner practice and follow-through are essential and outside the trainer’s control.
What age should my dog start training?
Puppies can begin age-appropriate foundation work as early as eight weeks using reward-based methods. Younger puppies may work on socialization, confidence, crate and potty routines, leash manners, and foundational cues.
The Murrieta site generally introduces remote-collar training at five months or older. Adult and senior dogs may also participate in training, although the appropriate program depends on the dog’s health, behavior history, temperament, and training goals.
